If you enjoy parks as I do, let me introduce you Garden on the roof of Warsaw’s University Library.
I believe good weather will come soon. Warsaw has a lot of opportunities where and how to spend time with pleasure. What can be better than fresh air and a green surrounding?
When I first saw it, I thought it looks like a garden from a fairy-tale or just a part of place like Hogwarts. That is how parks should look like, right?
It is one of the biggest and loveliest roof gardens in Europe, which was designed by Irena Bajerska and opened on June 12, 2002. This garden consists of 2 parts: upper and lower garden.
Upper part is located on the roof of the UW Library and has amazing view of the city, river and the opposite side of the shore. It’s a mix of different plants which are divided into section by bridges, trails and glazed parts of the roof, through which you can see shelves with books and tables. Also you can find there benches to enjoy coffee and the beautiful surroundings.
(P.S. there are nice cafés on the 0 floor of the library building)
Lower part of the garden it is a beautiful park with a fish pond, water-cascade, lawn and trails. It has a great view on the Roof Garden and river, great place to relax and have a picnic.
This place is worth a visit:). You can easily find it in Warsaw’s Old Town , Dobra 56/66, just near Copernicus Centre.
